Business minded and boldly dressed, Jessica Simpson paused for the paps in NYC on July 24, wearing a fire engine red dress so loud it could stop traffic. With her flowing blonde locks freshly curled and dyed (no roots! Thank you, Mr. Paves!), the Dukes of Hazzard starlet stepped out of the Ritz Carlton Hotel in a scarlet wrap dress (check out Lotta Stenssons Basic Wrap Dress in Burgundy for a toned down version, or Miguelinas Sandrica Dress in Red to kick it up a notch), and surprisingly did not appear to be weighed down her oodles of metallic jewelry including eclectic charm bracelets (check out Mickey Lynns Hammered Bangle with Mini Fleur de Lis for a more simplistic version), large gold hoops (Rebecca Normans Large Hammered Hoops in Vermeil are stunningly similar), a variety of silver and gold rings (see notables Lana Jewelrys Miami Rings and Femme Metales Rectangle Ring in Silver) and topping it off with a beaded rosary and pendant necklace combo. Any of these items could stand alone, but all thrown together -- cmon Jess, wheres your stylist? I can only hope the brilliant red frock was a festive wardrobe idea for the Macys holiday commercial Jess filmed later the same day, starring as many of the other celebs who have lines carried by the department chain as you can fit onto one stage set replica of the store. In addition to dabbling in acting, the former Newlyweds trip to the Big Apple culminated in her announcement that she will introduce a new line of dresses in 2009. I plan on creating beautiful dresses in distinctive fabrics and silhouettes that are reflective of my personal style and offer something special to the market place."
