Former supermodel and almost former talk show host Tyra Banks is getting backlash from disgruntled former employees after announcing the end of her television show. Tyra is allegedly being branded "difficult" and "a diva" by TV insiders. Tyra announced last week that the fifth cycle of her "The Tyra Banks Show" will be the last after five years and two Daytime Emmy Awards. Tyra is planning to concentrate on developing shows and films under her Bankable Studios production company. But a show source told the New York Daily News that working for Banks could be a tough task.The insider tells the publication, "There had been a high turnover of employees for years ... (it's) pretty difficult to work for Tyra. She and the higher-ups on the production staff could be extremely brutal. She really is a diva."When the show moved from L.A. to New York, several staffers weren't even directly told about the change. They heard through the grapevine it was going to move locations. Even so, a lot of those people gave up their lives on the West Coast so they could continue working for the show. Now they're out of luck."

Supermodel and talk show host Tyra Banks is pulling the plug on her hit television talk show. Tyra is saying the syndicated "The Tyra Show" will end after its fifth season. She is also saying she is staying with the reality show "America's Next Top Model" and is forming a new production studio with plans to make movies. She also promised new digital projects, but wouldn't give any details. In a statement on her Web site, Banks also paid tribute to talk-show queen Oprah Winfrey, who's ending her talk show in 2011. About her own show, Banks told fans: "I've been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past five years."

Television host Tyra Banks has made Perez Hilton promise to stop writing horrible stories about underage stars and their children after Hollywood star Demi Moore lashed out at the celebrity blogger for targeting her daughter Tallulah. Demi slammed Hilton last week over a set of "inappropriate" pictures of her 15 year old daughter, accusing him of "exploiting" teenagers. Moore claimed the photos of her young child wearing a low cut top and a revealing pair of shorts, compared to "child pornography" and called Hilton a "pervert." It has now been revealed that just days before Moore?s outburst, the gossip king filmed an episode of Tyra's show where she made him vow to stop bad-mouthing stars under the age of 18. In the show, recorded on August 18th, Banks tells Hilton, "When you?re a kid, especially the kid of a celebrity, I don?t feel they should be put in the public in a way to be made fun of. I feel they should be protected." Tyra asked Hilton to rein in his gossip for a year, but the pair compromised with a six-month deal in return for Hilton being offered a guest role on Banks? other show America?s Next Top Model. The show airs on September 8th.

The man who told police he and Tyra Banks "had a thing together" was convicted Today of stalking the television host. Brady Green of Georgia, was convicted by Manhattan Criminal Court Judge James Burke, who heard the case without a jury, of stalking, harassment, criminal trespass and attempted aggravated harassment. Burke handed down his verdict the day after Banks testified that she feared for her safety. The judge said he found that Green had been "hounding" Banks. However, Burke said he would not send Green to jail. He told defense lawyer Jeffrey Berman to help his client get psychiatric counseling and a job in "a location where he can thrive." That "likely will not be the city of New York," the judge said. Berman said he was disappointed with the verdict and planned an appeal but was glad the judge did not send Green to jail. Banks testified yesterday that she feared for her safety, and for that of her staff and family. Authorities said Green, 39, repeatedly called Banks' studio, showed up there, and sent her flowers and letters. They said he also threatened to slit the throat of a staffer who refused to tell him where to find Banks television studio. Green was arrested March 18, 2008, at a McDonald's restaurant near Banks studio in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. He told officers he and Banks "had a thing together," police said. Banks said she was about to leave the studio that day when her staff warned her about Green. She said they had previously shown her Green's photograph, told her he had threatened one of her employees and was "somebody I should watch out for." Banks said she told officers at the scene that she was scared. "I didn't know what to do. How do I live my life when I leave this building? I had never experienced anything like this before," she said.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg is blaming the producers of the television series "America's Next Top Model" for the riot that occurred at a recent audition for the show in New York City. Contestants for the new season of the modeling series, hosted by Tyra Banks, were waiting to try out on Saturday when chaos broke out on the streets outside the Park Central New York hotel. Hundreds of people were caught up in the melee, leaving the street outside the hotel littered with shoes and clothing. Two women and a man were arrested on charges of inciting to riot and disorderly conduct while two people were taken to hospital with minor injuries. And Bloomberg is adamant that the incident could have been avoided, if the show's producers had requested police assistance. He says, "You've just got to, in advance, arrange for security." The show's host, Banks, said she was unsure what caused the riot. In a joint statement with executive producer Ken Mok, she said: "We are concerned by the events. We still don't know all the details of what triggered the incident. We appreciate the efforts of the NYPD and will assist them in any way possible in this matter."
