Amy WinehouseRehab singer Amy Winehouse has applied for permission to visit her husband in jail, desperate to make a final attempt to save their marriage. Blake Fielder-Civil, jailed in England for causing actual bodily harm and perverting the course of justice, filed for divorce earlier this month in a bid to bring the couple's 20-month union to an end. But Winehouse, who is currently on a sunshine break in the Caribbean, has subsequently vowed to salvage their relationship and marriage any way she can. The singing icon, has reportedly made plans to fly back to Britain and visit her spouse in prison, with the hope she can persuade him to change his mind about the divorce. A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "Since he (Fielder-Civil) began divorce proceedings, Amy has decided she wants to try and work things out. "She has applied to visit him in jail in Britain and if he accepts she will fly back. We will see what is his priority. Amy or her money."

She’s been vacationing in St. Lucia for quite some time now, and earlier today (January 26) the paparazzi caught up to Amy Winehouse during a laid back beach stroll. The “You Know I’m No Good” songstress looked a bit out of it, as per the usual, and seemed to be struggling to keep her pants from falling down as she sauntered along the sand. more at: |

Amy Winehouse's record label has sent her an official to her Caribbean vacation resort in an attempt to straighten out her hedonistic lifestyle. The bosses at Universal Records flew commercial director Brian Rose to the island paradise Saint Lucia for talks, after the 25-year-old star was snapped drinking heavily and begging for beer from fellow hotel guests. And witnesses have told the British newspaper The Sun that the star has been spending as much as $10,870 on food and drink for strangers. A label source told the tabloid, "Brian has been told to drive some common sense into Amy and find out what the hell is going on."There don’t seem to be any solid plans for new music. But Universal is a business and it needs to know what is happening to one of its biggest talents." Universal confirms Rose is meeting Winehouse to discuss future projects. more at: |

Amy Winehouse's dad, Mitch, is criticizing his pop singing daughter for cavorting with a man while her hubby, Blake Fielder-Civil, is still in jail. Winehouse is on a very long holiday on the paradise island of St. Lucia in a bid to forget her wild partying ways back home in London England. The Rehab singer was pictured earlier this month exercising and cuddling up to clean-cut, former rugby player Joshua Bowman, who has since denied romancing Winehouse. But the photos were the final straw for Fielder-Civil, who has instructed his lawyers to start divorce proceedings against Winehouse on the grounds of adultery. Mitch Winehouse was equally mad to see the shots of his daughter with another man while she was still married, and he made his feelings clear in a phone call. Mitch Winehouse says in the new documentary "Saving Amy," "I had to call Amy before she heard about it from someone else. She asked me, 'Daddy, why does he want to divorce me?' "I said, 'You know I don't like him, but I have to admit that your behavior with another man is not what marriage is all about.'" Neither of the singer's parents approved of her union with Fielder-Civil, and the star's mother, Janis, was horrified to receive a call from her daughter in May 2007 announcing the couple had wed. She says, "Amy called and put Blake on the phone. He said, 'Hi mom' ... and I felt as if I had a knife in my stomach. Who is this nothing, calling me mom?" more at: |

Rehab singer Amy Winehouse is reportedly investing $1.5 million to launch her own record label in a bid to make her 12-year-old goddaughter a teen singing star. Dionne Bromfield shot into the limelight when a brief recording of her singing as Winehouse played the guitar appeared on video-sharing website YouTube last May. Amy is so confident that Bromfield has what it takes to be a huge success, she has allegedly founded new label Lioness to help begin the youngster’s career.Bromfield says, "I had a lot of record companies wanting to sign me but I didn’t know where to go. So for Amy to set up this record company and make me her first signing means so much." Winehouse has collaborated with the young singer on a number of songs, co-writing and co-producing her debut album which is set to be released in March, according to Britain’s News of the World newspaper.
