Superstar Lady Gaga was very determined to succeed as a pop singing star after an ex-boyfriend labeled her as a total complete failure. Lady Gaga has now dominated the music charts across the world since the release of her debut single "Just Dance" in 2008. She has had six Grammy Award nominations to date, winning two of the awards at last month's ceremony. Now the star say's it's all thanks, in part, to a bitter former lover. She tells Cosmopolitan magazine, "I had a boyfriend who told me I'd never succeed, never be nominated for a Grammy, never have a hit song, and that he hoped I'd fail. "I said to him, 'Someday, when we're not together, you won't be able to order a cup of coffee at the f**king deli without hearing or seeing me.'"

Superstar Lada Gaga took an HIV test, and is urging her fans to look after their sexual health too. The lady visited a gynaecologist in New York City on her day off. The singer is insisting her busy schedule often prevents her from having the screenings. Lady Gaga told MarieClaire.com, "I had an HIV test two days ago, and it?s not because I?m taking off my clothes every night with a different man. When I?m on the road, I forget about taking care of my body. "I don?t go to the doctor as regularly as if I were in one place all the time. So I woke up and thought, ?Oh, I?m home in New York. I?m going to see my gyno and I?m getting an HIV test.?" And she?s stressing the importance of regular check-ups to her legions of followers: "You put that condom in your purse and save your own f**king life."

The multi talented Lady Gaga is planning to team up with Sir Elton John once again after their Grammy Awards duet. She will pay tribute to the legendary singer at a charity bash in his honor next week. She is now set to perform at the AIDS foundation AmfAR benefit gala in New York City on February 10th. The event will honor Elton and his partner David Furnish for their charity contributions to help battle the deadly disease. Singer Rufus Wainwright is also expected to take the stage at the gala.
