Sexy star Vanessa Hudgens is suing the owners of a Web site over the publication of pictures which appear to show the actress naked. The High School Musical actresses lawyers have fought to have the photos removed from the Web and now she's taking legal action against one Web site which allegedly refused to take the photos down. She has filed a suit against bosses at Moejackson.com, alleging a series of "self portrait photographs" taken in a private home with a cell phone were published on the site and remained on view even after her lawyers claimed copyright violation and ordered the pictures to be removed, according to TMZ.com. The papers state, "The photos were obtained by unknown methods and posted on the Internet by an unknown person without Hudgens knowledge or consent." The celebrity Web site is reporting that Vanessa's people has registered the nude photos with the U.S. Copyright Office. She is seeking damages and an injunction to order the site to remove the pictures.

Vanessa became famous as the star of the "High School Musical" series, but her image has been tarnished by a series of nude photo leaks on the Internet. Hudgens is hinting the scandals won't damage her long term career plans because she's ready to move on from being a child star. The actress tells Star magazine, "The fact that kids look up to me is extremely flattering. But at the end of the day, I want to do R-rated films that are a little edgier."
