Production has commenced on location in Hawaii, the United Kingdom and Los Angeles on Walt Disney Pictures? and Jerry Bruckheimer Films? sweeping comedy adventure Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, directed by Rob Marshall, the fourth entry in the blockbuster franchise which has already reaped $2.7 billion in worldwide box office from the previous three films, and the first to be filmed and presented in Disney Digital 3D. Johnny Depp returns to his iconic, Academy Award-nominated role of Captain Jack Sparrow, newly joined by Academy Award winner Penelope Cruz, Ian McShane and newcomers Astrid Berges-Frisbey and Sam Claflin. Also rejoining Johnny Depp and Captain Jack are Academy Award-winner and three-time nominee Geoffrey Rushand Kevin R. McNally. The film is slated to open May 20, 2011.

 Penelope Cruz was terrified of singing in new film 'Nine'.
Speaking on the red carpet at the London premiere of the musical movie in Leicester Square last night (03.12.09), the 35-year-old Spanish actress admitted her singing was a bit rusty because she hadn't done it in public for years.
Singing was terrifying because it was new and because it was my first time.
The 35-year-old star told BANG Showbiz: "Singing was terrifying because it was new and because it was my first time.
"It was like doing theatre, but I only did theatre as a student in Spain."
Penelope - who plays seductress, Carla Albanese, who seduces Daniel Day-Lewis' character, director Guido Contini, in the film - also revealed her sexy look in the movie was aided by some very good costume designers.
She said: "The woman who designed the costumes for every one of us, I think she really must be one of the most amazing artists."
Penelope was joined on the red carpet by several of her co-stars, including Nicole Kidman, 42, Kate Hudson, 30, and Dame Judi Dench, 74.
Judi admitted she was surprised by how well all the actresses got along, saying: "They're wonderful, I mean every single one, I swear you're going to be surprised. They're going to surprise everyone."

 Actress Penelope Cruz has admitted that she can't stop kissing Meryl Streep.
Speaking to her Nine co-star and fellow Oscar winner Marion Cotillard, the Spanish star said she thinks Meryl is the best there is.
"We only know each other from seeing each other at awards ceremonies or those kinds of events, but whenever I see her, I always go up to her and start kissing her," Penelope said in the latest issue of Interview Magazine.
She added: "I don?t even say anything - I just kiss her. She must think I?m some crazy person."
The Spanish stunner believes that Meryl is the best actress there is, reports The Daily Telegraph.
"There is nobody better," she said. "I watch her movies over and over again. I saw Silkwood again a couple of weeks ago, and it made me just want to kiss her feet."

She wouldn't budge!
Penelope Cruz appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman yesterday and Dave didn't beat around the bush when he asked the actress if she was engaged to actor Javier Bardem.
Penelope laughed and replied, "I don't feel comfortable talking about my private life in public."
Engagement rumors began when Pene sported a big old sapphire and diamond ring on her left hand in October during the Broken Embraces premiere.
Letterman continued to press the issue with Penelope and she responded:
"I've been here a few times with you, you know I'm tough. One thing I don't do, I don't lie about my personal life. It's sacred to me. It's my life. But I don't give details about it because I am allergic to that."
Dave followed up with, "So you know, but you don't want to tell me?" and Cruz confirmed, "I know, but I choose not to share some things."
We know you're a notoriously private couple, but with all the laughing and refusal to answer the question leads us to believe one thing: You're one lucky girl and totally engaged to that hot piece of man!

Gossip reports are suggesting the Oscar-winner is expecting a baby with boyfriend Javier Bardem have been flying around the Internet for many weeks, but the star is insisting they're wrong and she's not going to have a baby anytime soon. The actress stormed out of a television interview at the Toronto Film Festival in Canada on Thursday, when she was asked about the rumors, and now she's keen to set the story straight.
