Former reality show Nicole Richie has checked into a Los Angeles California hospital to prepare for the birth of her second child, according to reports. Nicole is expecting her second baby with rock star boyfriend Joel Madden. The couple is already parents to 20-month-old daughter Harlow.Richie waited until she had paid her respects to ex-fiance DJ Adam Goldstein in Los Angeles last Wednesday afternoon to check herself into the maternity ward, according to OK! magazine. Madden recently revealed Richie’s second pregnancy has been much easier than her first, and insisted the couple would not know the baby’s sex until it was born. He says, "It’s a lot easier. You’ve already been through it and it’s not as intense and dramatic. We’re a little more relaxed. It’s actually kind of nice. "We don’t know what the sex is. We waited on the first one and it was such an awesome experience that we can’t wait to see what the next one is. It’s exciting to wait it out."

Former Reality show star Nicole Richie is expanding her fashion empire once again, to include a line of maternity wear. Nicole will soon welcome her second baby with rock star boyfriend Joel Madden and she's going to launch a new range of clothes specially for expectant mothers. Richie, who is already mom to 19-month-old daughter Harlow, is teaming up with clothing label A Pea in the Pod to create and model the designs, reports People.com. She says, "Pea in the Pod is such a known company for pregnant women. They carry great lines, and so when they asked me to create a line for them, I was really excited and eager to do it."(When you're pregnant), you really feel like you have to change your whole wardrobe. And that's the last thing a woman wants to go through. So I really tried to make this line to get women excited about wearing clothes."I think the pregnant body is beautiful, and I think you should show it off."

Former reality show star Nicole Richie is reportedly planning to pay tribute to her late godfather Michael Jackson by naming her new child after him. The adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie remained close to Jackson until he died of a cardiac arrest last month. Friends of Nicole claim she's determined to mark his death by giving her second child his name -- Michael for a boy and Michelle for a girl. A source tells Star magazine, "Nicole is devastated by Michael's death. She loved him and it happened so suddenly. She wasn't planning on naming the baby after him, but she thinks it's fitting now that he's gone." Richie is married to rocker Joel Madden.
