Jennifer Lopez singer
Jennifer Lopez has left her record label, Sony's Epic Records, after 11 years. The split was a mutual agreement with the company's chairman, Rob Stringer.

But within a day, Jennifer Lopez announced that she has already signed a new deal and will drop her long-in-the-works comeback attempt, Love?, this summer.

According to music industry sources, Lopez's last two singles - "Louboutins" and "Fresh Out the Oven" - fulfilled the terms of her contract with Epic.

Her unfinished album, Love?, which is said to feature production work from the Neptunes and Darkchild, is still expected to be released sometime this year on J-Lo's new label.

Jennifer Lopez is reportedly looking into signing with Island Def Jam, home to Kanye West, Mariah Carey and Rihanna.

In other news, Lopez will host this weekend's episode of Saturday Night Live.

Superstar Rihanna s praising her mother for shielding her from her fathers drug habit while she was growing up. The singer has admitted she saw her father, Ronald Fenty, taking illegal substances when she was a child, but her mother was determined to protect her from the dangers of drugs. Rihanna told CNN, "I just remember that that made me know it was wrong. Every time she saw this specific thing - the foil and the ashtray - she just would go off and they separated several times because of it, and eventually it ruined their marriage you know. She was just like ‘You’re either gonna kick that drug habit and see your kids, or you’re not gonna see your kids at all, cause they can’t see you like that.’"

Rihanna turned 22 this past Saturday (February 20), and she celebrated her big day in Phoenix, Arizona.

According to People magazine, the ?Rude Boy? singer flew out a bunch of her pals for the bash, which was put on by rumored boyfriend Los Angeles Dodger player, Matt Kemp.

Rihanna also received a dominatrix-inspired lap dance from porn star ?Bridget the Midget? on her 22nd birthday party. The ?Disturbia? hitmaker?s new boyfriend Matt Kemp had apparently organized the bash in Phoenix, Ariz., reports E! News.

Rihanna was reportedly "shocked" by the ballplayer''s surprise, as he had initially planned a very "private and intimate" gathering for her, reports TMZ. "Matt really wanted to do something nice for Rihanna this year since she didn't have much of a 21st birthday last year," the New York Daily News quoted a source as saying. Kemp also reportedly surprised the singer with a custom diamond necklace. The insider said: "It was so sweet and she was really surprised. She looked just beautiful."
